Addresses

The Addresses module in CargoPilot functions as an address book, allowing users to store and manage addresses for shipments and consignee information. This feature simplifies the quoting and booking process by enabling quick access to previously saved addresses.

Usage in Shipments and Quotes​

Addresses are used in multiple areas of CargoPilot, including:

  • Shipper and Consignee Information – Addresses are essential for defining shipment details.
  • Master Airway Bill (MAWB) – Addresses can be applied when generating a MAWB.
  • Custom Shippers and Consignees – When adding a different shipper or consignee in the quote and booking screen, addresses can be selected or added.

Adding New Addresses​

Adding a new address is straightforward:

  1. After assembling a quote, the user is presented with an address form.
  2. The user fills in the shipper and consignee details.
  3. The user is given the option to save the address for future use (Yes/No).
  4. If saved, the address is stored in the Addresses module, making future quoting and booking faster.

Benefits of Using Addresses​

The Addresses feature is designed to streamline the quoting and booking process by:

  • Reducing manual data entry – No need to re-enter shipper and consignee details for recurring shipments.
  • Speeding up operations – Select from saved addresses instead of typing them manually.
